Beaded Crochet Necklace - Random Beads

For this one I just used random beads on white crochet thread. It goes with absolutely everything in my wardrobe. LOL

Beaded Crochet Necklace - For The Devout Christian

I had some of these millefiori cross beads that I needed to use in a project, and this seemed to be the ideal project.

Black Crochet Necklace

I am rather addicted to making these necklaces, and I'm sort of experimenting with different weights of crochet thread to use. This one used size 3 black crochet thread, whereas the others I've done used 10. 10 is finer than 3.

I like the 3, as it seems a bit heavier and sturdier than 10, but it also means there are a lot of beads I can't use on 3 crochet thread - the holes are just entirely too, too small. There were a lot of beads I could not use on this necklace because the holes are just too small.

But I did get a lot of cool beads on here. It's very long and can be tripled around my neck. I did this with Samhain/Halloween in mind - thus, the darker colors, black thread and skull beads. I really like it. Kinda Goth, in a way. Do Goths exist any more?

Fun With Tunisian

OK so I'm working on Tunisian stitch and color changes AND carrying yarn as I do so. I don't always like to cut yarn and have a million ends to sew in at the end of a project.

Here is the right side of a test swatch I did:

Here is the reverse:

I don't like the "floaters" going up the left side of the work; that's the result of carrying the yarn instead of cutting it with each color change. I'm not sure if there's a way to hide that or do it some other way that it's not seen. Hmmmmmmm....

Fun With Jewelry

This past weekend I fixed the clasp on this necklace (it belongs to a coworker) and I also made matching earrings and a bracelet. :)

Tunisian Honeycomb Stitch

I just remembered - I was supposed to post some photos of a Tunisian honeycomb stitch scarf I'm working on. So here are the photos...one shows a closeup of the material, so the pattern is more clearly visible...

It's really a very easy stitch to do. What I'm doing is putting a stitch marker in the rows that begin with TSS (Tunisian simple stitch) and just go from there!

Must Do This

I just found this link: Dinner Plate Wall Clock

I need to start doing crafts like THIS!!
