Tunisian - In Rows!

OK I think I have the hang of Tunisian simple stitch in rows. I was going to make this a scarf, but I think I'm going to keep going and make it a blanket.

I started my pattern as shown in this video:

Scrapghan Madness!

This is a crazy scrapghan I'm working on. Just random bits of leftover yarns from other projects. I'm also gutting projects I started but didn't like and using those yarns as well. I'm doing this one in the corner to corner pattern, and I'd like to do one in crossed double crochet. I'll get to it soon enough.

In Which....

...I get a bit weird.

I want to make this afghan, or one very close to it.

Most people now would look at that and say "it looks like the bus from that old TV show The Partridge Family!"

Well, it's not just a case of bright, bold colors and strong geometric patterns....time for an art history lesson!

This art style comes from the neo-plasticism movement, which originated with a Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian (1872-1944)...

Checkerboard Afghan

Two photos of a checkerboard afghan I'm working on. I've run out of the multicolor yarn; later this week I'll go to Michael's and get a couple more skeins. It's their Craft Smart yarn in Sangria colorway. I decided to photograph this on the back of my car to show the width of the afghan. I think this will look kinda cool when I'm done. :)

I got the pattern from this video:

Joe's Afghan

At last it's complete! Took me about 7 months to finish, but here it is. All I need do is sew in the edges. Yay!!

Tropical Stripes C2C

JAYSUS, I had no idea this blanket was such an EYE BURNER until I took this picture in the sunlight today! WOW!

Well, I'm going to keep on with it. Many people have said they love this one.

Dr Smith's Afghan

I'm working on this afghan for the surgeon who removed my gallbladder; it's in his university colors.

I love the corner to corner pattern. I think it's my new go-to pattern.

Engineer Blanket

This is an afghan I'm making for Joe. It is in the colors of his old unit, the 82nd US Army combat engineers. I'm doing 8 rows of crimson and 2 rows of white.

I do need more red yarn, however. I'm getting low.

Update!

I'm working on some other projects that I'm going to post photos of here.

First, here's two really good shots I got of a blue and white afghan I'm making. I got this in early morning sunlight on the back of my car.

Here's a granny scrap afghan I'm working on:

I like the random colors of the granny scrap afghan.

Here's some squares I'm making:

Those squares came from this blanket:

I thought better of doing this pattern - something about it wasn't singing to me, not for an afghan - so I'm reworking it into squares, to stitch together to make an afghan.

I'm also doing this scrappy steps afghan:

Yarn! Yarn happiness!!
