Tunisian - In Rows!

OK I think I have the hang of Tunisian simple stitch in rows. I was going to make this a scarf, but I think I'm going to keep going and make it a blanket.

I started my pattern as shown in this video:

Entrelac

Well, I thought I'd try my hand at an entrelac blanket. I originally was going to do this as a scrapghan with all kinds of mixed colors, but I'm really happy with the royal blue and white so I suppose I'll keep going in those colors for the rest of the blanket. I have plenty of white yarn but I'll have to buy more royal blue yarn.

I'm using a 6.5mm hook for this project, and I find that's helping with my tension. Yes tunisian crochet curls, so I'll have to block this when it's done (hopefully I can find a spot to do it). But I'm really surprised at how well this is going.

I may yet do this in a scrapghan with all kinds of crazy mixed colors. I have to burn up a lot of scrap yarn I have, and I've already done a corner-to-corner scrapghan, as well as a scrappy steps afghan. I'm also working on a single crochet scrapghan in soft, pastel-ish colors. That is going to take FOREVER to get done....

Scrapghan Madness!

This is a crazy scrapghan I'm working on. Just random bits of leftover yarns from other projects. I'm also gutting projects I started but didn't like and using those yarns as well. I'm doing this one in the corner to corner pattern, and I'd like to do one in crossed double crochet. I'll get to it soon enough.

Chelsea's Scarf

The first item I made in my new apartment! This is a scarf I made for a coworker named Chelsea. She requested a scarf made in the same style as my long pink and black one, but she chose royal blue and white. She also wanted it shorter than mine. So I did this mesh scarf in hdc/ch 1 stitches all the way through the garment. Hat and mittens, in royal blue, to follow. :)

Granny C2C Afghan

I'm working on this now. This is a good pattern. I got the idea from Zooty Owl's granny c2c cowl pattern; click here for the pattern. I did modify it slightly; Zooty Owl didn't work a ch 1 in between each of the 3 dc clusters, but I did. So far, I like this pattern and it should prove to make a great afghan!

EDIT: I noticed that Clare at Bobwilson123 also has a video on this same pattern! Here's the video:

Apache Tears Blanket

OK so it's my first time really going all out with this pattern, and I'm uncertain how I feel about it.

I'm doing this in groups of 4, and changing color every 2 rows. But I think my tension is off. I think it's too tight, because it's curling a bit much. Not sure if that will eventually get worked out or what.

But here's my progress so far:

I suppose I should keep going...

I Wish...

...there was a way I could do cottage industry and earn enough extra money at it to offset the costs of living so far from my job.

My crochet...

My jewelry...

And candles...

Or candles like these...these are not originals that I did, but I can do this...

In the long term, I want to purchase and refinish and resell furniture like this...and once we move into this house I'll have the room to do it...this is not an original; I got this from another site, to show as an example of what I have in mind...this would look so sweet in a little girl's bedroom...

I would love to do all this at home and earn money at it. I am not sure how I can do that and earn enough money to put some bucks back, possibly for a new car in a couple of years, gas back and forth to worth, etc...

Competition on Etsy is very, very stiff. I'd have to just create, somehow, a business of my own and get the word out there some other way...must do research....
